The 3XXX series is an AL-Mn alloy, which is the most widely used type of anti-rust aluminum. This alloy has relatively low strength (slightly higher than industrial pure aluminum) and cannot be strengthened through heat treatment. Therefore, it uses cold processing methods to enhance its mechanical properties. In the annealed state, it has high plasticity, still has good plasticity during semi-cold hardening, and has low plasticity during cold hardening. It has good corrosion resistance, good weldability, and poor machinability. Its applications are mainly for parts that require high plasticity and good weldability, such as mailboxes, gasoline or lubricant conduits, various liquid containers and other small-load parts made by deep drawing: wire is used to make rivets. The 3XXX series aluminum plates have good formability, weldability, and corrosion resistance. They are used for processing parts and components that require good forming performance, high corrosion resistance, good weldability, or both the above properties and higher strength than 1XXX series alloys, such as kitchenware, food and chemical product handling and storage devices, transportation tanks and cans for liquids, various pressure vessels and pipelines made from thin plates, heat sinks, photocopier drums, ship materials.

3003 is used for processing parts and components that require excellent forming properties, high corrosion resistance, good weldability, or where both these properties are required and higher strength than 1XXX series alloys is necessary, such as kitchenware, food and chemical product handling and storage devices, transportation tanks and cans for liquid products, and various pressure vessels and pipelines processed from thin sheets.

3004 is used as the aluminum alloy body of the can. It requires components with higher strength than 3003 alloy. It is used in chemical product production and storage equipment, thin plate processing parts, construction processing parts, construction tools, and various lamp components.

3105 is used for room partitions, baffles, movable floor panels, eaves troughs and downspouts, thin sheet formed parts, bottle caps, bottle stoppers, etc. It is also used as architectural decorative parts. The anodic oxide film on 3105 is brighter than that on 3003 alloy and is in harmony with the color tone of 6063 alloy.
